Karina is a Polestar Pilates and PMA® Certified Pilates Teacher. She previously trained as a classivla dancer with Delta Festival Ballet and The Boston Ballet School and received her BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She assisted Ann Reinking in numerous projects and performed in musicals, plays and operas throughout the United States and Europe. Through her experience as a Pilates practitioner and dancer, Karina has gained a great understanding of anatomy and injuries and is passionate about guiding her clients on their journey to wellness.
Mindy Catron danced professionally for nearly 20 years on Broadway and National Tours and found her way from there to her second career in fitness. She is fully certified through STOTT PILATES®, GYROTONIC®, CARDIOLATES® and is a Pink Ribbon Program Post-Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist. Mindy is also a licensed Buff Bones® instructor who offers this medically endorsed workout incorporating bone strengthening and balance enhancing techniques.
She is also the Program Director for The Center For Women's Fitness where she oversees all teacher trainings held in the US. In addition, she is a Master Trainer for their Pre and Post Natal Pilates Teacher Training Certifications.
Ultimately, she loves to draw on all these different disciplines to find the best program for each client she works with.
Heather Harrington is a Pilates instructor, professional dancer, choreographer and ice skating coach. Heather found Pilates while dancing with Martha Graham Ensemble in 1991, after hearing fellow dancers talking about how their jumps and extensions were higher since studying Pilates. She trained in Pilates and GYROTONIC® and is certified by the Kane School of Integration. She has additional certifications in pre and post natal Pilates from The Center for Women's Fitness.
Heather brings to her teaching and eye for alignment, a love for moving and a sensitivity to each person's individual needs. She finds Pilates indispensable to keeping her body fit and functioning.
Amy is a former dancer who after suffering an ankle injury began working with Pilates Elder Carola Trier, the first person to open a “Contrology” studio—as it was called then—with the blessing of Joseph Pilates himself. It was through her work with Carola that she discovered the amazing rehabilitative and full-body strengthening of Pilates. Amy is trained in STOTT Pilates Mat, Reformer and Cadillac and Active Isolated Stretching. She is also a licensed Buff Bones® instructor who offers this specialized medically endorsed workout incorporating bone strengthening and balance enhancing techniques. Amy recently earned her Certificate of Achievement as a Post Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist through the Pink Ribbon Program. Last but not least, Amy is also a licensed Zumba Instructor. Amy brings her passion for movement and helping others retain and (re)gain strength through the Pilates method.
Holly's love of mind & body wellness stems from a 25 year career as a professional dancer/singer /actor on Broadway, Film, TV, national and world touring. After graduating from the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in 1995, Holly became a Licensed Massage Therapist. She is certified in Neuromuscular, Myofascial, Trigger point and Pre/Post natal massage. Holly continued her studies with Jim and Phil Wharton certifying in the Active Isolated Stretch and Strength technique. As a Fitness professional Holly is Certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and now teaches cardio and flexibility exercise, STOTT Pilates Mat & Reformer and IntenSati. Holly has taught Private and Group Fitness in NYC at Equinox, Reebok, and Chelsea Piers Sports Center. She authored Fitness Magazine articles about the Active Isolated Stretching technique, and has been featured in Bally Total Fitness commercials, NBC Today show, and the Dr. OZ show.
As a former attorney, Tara found Pilates to be an excellent way to achieve overall muscle tone, improve her posture and relieve stress. After the birth of her son, Tara chose to devote herself full-time to the discipline and is certified by Pilates Academy International in New York City in All Populations Mat, Reformer and Cadillac and CARDIOLATES®, and she has complete coursework in All Populations Chair and Ladder Barrel. She is also certified as a Pre and Post Natal Pilates Specialist by The Center for Women's Fitness and is certified in Pink Ribbon Pilates, a program designed to help post-operative breast cancer survivors regain strength and mobility. She recently became a licensed Buff Bones® instructor who offers this specialized medically endorsed workout incorporating bone strengthening and balance enhancing techniques.
Tara is a Board Certified Holistic Health Coach (AADP) and owner of Highway 2 Well which is dedicated to helping professional women and busy moms live fit, healthy and happy lives. She offers both nutritional counseling and a clean meal delivery service throughout New Jersey, New York City and Brooklyn. Tara published her first book this year, CLEAN COCKTAILS: Righteous Recipes for the Modern Mixologist. She is currently pursuing her M.S. in Nutrition and Human Performance.
Allison began practicing Pilates in 2011 in an effort to simply improve her posture, something she had struggled with for years. Within weeks, she was absolutely hooked. Aside from seeing results, she reaped the true benefits of Pilates -- improved posture, core strength and stability -- bettering her overall physical health and wellness.As someone who had always prioritized health and fitness, experimenting with different types of workouts, she realized she had truly found her exercise match. She continued to practice throughout her pregnancy and credits Pilates for her smooth and speedy c-section recovery. After the birth of her daughter in 2014, Allison decided to follow her passion and make a significant career leap, leaving behind her corporate day job to become a Pilates instructor. Later that year, Allison received her certification in All Populations Mat and Reformer through the Pilates Academy International in New York City.
Gwen Swanson Vigorito is a certified Pilates instructor through STOTT PILATES ®. Gwen is truly passionate about working with those who live with neurological conditions and she has focused more of her practice on assisting those who have suffered a stroke or who live with debilitating diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis or ALS. She is also a licensed Buff Bones® instructor who offers this specialized medically endorsed workout incorporating bone strengthening and balance enhancing techniques. Gwen holds a BFA in Dance from Montclair State University, which is where she first discovered the benefits of Pilates as rehabilitation from a back/hip injury as well as restoration of the overall well-being of the body. She worked as a Pilates instructor at Focus Physical Therapy in Upper Montclair, NJ which gave her insight into how to incorporate principles used in physical therapy to her Pilates work to increase body awareness. Gwen strives to continually broaden her scope of knowledge and never tires of learning more about how to train the body to work as efficiently as possible.
